All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.

Welcome to my website!

I am Alyssa Lloyd, a 3D/2D multimedia artist. As a Pittsburgh, PA native, I have been immersed in the arts from a young age. Since beginning music lessons at age 6 and then later pursuing multimedia arts, visual effects, and music performance in college and beyond, I have always been incredibly passionate about what I do.

Since 2019, I have worked professionally in roles such as Digital Content Designer, 3D Generalist, and Graphic Designer and have worked on a variety of design and media projects.

Currently,  I am a Contract Graphic Designer with the marketing agency AEK Solutions and also with Chromalox. In both of those roles, I create exciting 2D and 3D graphics, logo and branding materials, infographics, animations, website designs, motion graphics, video edits, and much more. The assets I create are used on social media platforms, physical conference signage, ad campaigns, internal use, blogs,  and for general promotions. With AEK, I was the lead designer for Cosmetic Bootcamp’s branding overhaul in 2021 and contributed all new logos and graphics. I regularly collaborate with the team and our clients to create unique designs that fit their needs.

For two years previously, I was the full-time Digital Content Designer for the Community College of Allegheny County, located in Pittsburgh, PA. I was responsible for creating eye-catching 2D and 3D animations for distribution across CCAC’s digital signage video walls, interactive kiosks, and displays at 8 campus locations, as well as online platforms. I helped lead the creation of multiple large scale projects, including the Spring 2020 and 2021 Virtual Commencement ceremonies, Nursing Pinning ceremonies, and an animated video series for CCAC’s Youtube channel. I regularly worked on motion graphics, 3D environments, 2D animations,  logo designs, storyboarding sketches, video editing, and more.

Since 2019, I have been working with the tech startup company REDD Technology as a 3D Generalist and am an Associate Partner. At REDD, I work with our team to create 3D animations, motion graphics, 2D animations and more for use in online educational modules. In early 2020, I redesigned REDD's website in collaboration with another artist on the team.

As for my education, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Visual Effects Production from the Digital Animation & Visual Effects School in Orlando, FL. My concentrations include photorealistic 3D modeling and texturing for asset and environment creation, but I was also trained in compositing, animation, lighting, and rendering.

I am also a graduate of Duquesne University, in Pittsburgh, PA, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Arts with a concentration in Multimedia, in addition to a minor in Trumpet Performance. I graduated with the honor of summa cum laude in three years. Skills that I worked on at Duquesne include graphic design, motion graphics, video editing, and more. In addition to my media studies, I took three years of full-time music/trumpet performance courses and studied privately with members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

In 2021, I became a NextGen representative on the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) Marketing & Communications and Events Committees. I am responsible for taking meeting minutes and for providing any relevant insight. I am also a member of the TEA Hubs initiative, where our goal is to create local networks of TEA members in select cities and to strengthen the TEA's presence across the country. Currently, I am spearheading the Pittsburgh TEA Hub, where we recently held our first event featuring audio engineer Bonnie Bogovich.

Currently, I am seeking any opportunities for professional design work in the themed entertainment industry or parallel industries. I invite you to take a look through my portfolio and to please feel free to each out via email (alyssalloyd@live.com) or by filling out the contact form on this site.
